Last Tuesday I was given (along with Dr. Haykin) the opportunity to sign copies of the new book on Hercules Collins which Dr. Michael Haykin and I edited, “Devoted to the Service of the Temple”: Persecution, Piety and Ministry in the Writings of Hercules Collins. This booksigning occured at the SBTS LifeWay campus store managed by Terry Braswell. I would like to thank Terry and my good friend Tim Harrelson for organizing this event.
Very nice! I am sure that it was a rewarding experience!
Great! What an opportunity and achievement!
I admire your work-ethic in ministry.

I still haven’t washed my right hand since we shook hands several months ago.
Man, how I’ve missed that bookstore! Congrats.
BTW, sorry but I already registered for Challies’ contest through Tim’s referral ID.
Who’s that guy with Steve Weaver?
:)

Thanks guys!
Klay,
I will never forgive you for that if I loose and Ellsworth wins.
Steve, it was great to meet you and Dr. Hayking that day! Thanks again for the book. I’m planning on taking this upcoming free weekend and sequester myself with it. It helps that UT is on pay-per-view; that way I won’t be distracted. Being deaf sure does help since it makes the radio worthless. ;-)
Did I just write “Hayking?!?!?” Sheesh. :-p
Congratulations!
BTW: I just read your post about your new series concerning the church.
I trust you will include that the church is the body brought into existance by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and that much of the New Testament Word of God was written to the church and churches.
Again, good work!
Stephen,
It was great to meet you as well! Don’t worry though, Dr. Haykin doesn’t read this blog!
Joe,
Thanks for the encouragement and advice.

John Gill took your picture? Cool! I thought he was dead.
David,
Southern is a magical place!
