In recent days I have been greatly encouraged by the direction of Broadman & Holman. Their new academic line is producing substantial theological literature. I believe this will help to fill a great void in the contemporary Christian publishing industry. The new B & H series, NAC Studies in Bible and Theology, is an especially encouraging one. The first volume was God’s Indwelling Presence by James Hamilton. I received it for Christmas and I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Hamilton’s engagement with both Scripture and theology. Though I may not have agreed with every jot and tittle of the book, the overall argument has helped to clarify my thinking in the key area which it addresses: Is the indwelling a new experience for New Covenant believers? In short, I was helped by this book.

The second volume in this series has now been released and is titled simply Believer’s Baptism. I had preordered this volume from Amazon a couple of weeks ago and I was notified today that it has been shipped. I look forward to receiving and reading this volume.
